![]() But if it were me, I'd just buy the G6 or X-FI surround 5.1 Pro for USB or virtually any of Creatives internal gaming sound blaster cards. Any of creatives USB controllers will work. Just install alchemy and open it and select oblivion from the list. If you use creative audio controller, you will also need to install Alchemy so that EAX can be converted to OpenAL. This is easily done with Creative X-FI Go or any other EAX USB or internal audio controller. The solution is to buy a hardware EAX DSP. These days virtually no one uses anything other than onboard Realtek audio, which doesn't provide hardware EAX acceleration. It can work with software like alchemy to convert EAX to OpenAL. EAX is obsolete because of changes to windows audio in Vista or 7, I can't remember. When oblivion was being developed, add in audio controllers were much more common. The problem is EAX needs supporting hardware to work properly, and EAX is obsolete. I am running the game on Windows 10, on a fairly new PC. ![]() It seems to happen on vanilla and on modded games. So is there any WORKING fix for this yet? It seems that quite a few people have this issue, especially over the past few months. This youtube vid shows the exact same problem I have:Īll other games work perfectly fine, never had a sound issue with them what so ever, so it has to do something with the Oblivion music file/frequency as all other sounds such as walking, npcs and sword swinging work fine. Worth mentioning is that the game itself does not stutter at all, only the music. No FPS drops (mine is usually around 50-60) when the music starts stuttering after 10 minutes. It happens to all music, so world, dungeon, etc. When I play the music without being in the game, so directly from the folder, they work fine.Just like the first 10-15 minutes while ingame. This issue started as soon as I had installed the game and played a bit. Tested over 5 hours of gameplay on a modded game. There you go, the music stuttering is gone. You have to install Creative Alchemy when you plugged it in, and select Oblivion from the list. I bought one of the USB Sound cards (BlasterX G1), as it was pretty cheap at a local hardware-store. I decided to give the solution mol3kule mentioned (Check below) a shot, because it made alot of sense to me. So unless there is an option to decrease the music volume out of the game (not using the music volume slider) this is a no-go. ![]() The AC3Filter application works, but it messes up your game volumes (makes the music extremely loud so you can barely hear any other sounds + the music volume slider gives control over the master volume). I have tried multiple 'solutions' but none of them seems to work properly. It is really annoying as it increases over time and forces you to quit or disable the music completely. The music (all other sounds work perfectly) starts stuttering when in the game for roughly 10 minutes. I know that there are multiple posts open on this topic, but none of them seems to have a working solution.
